Details on the most important ingredients:

Icelandic Moss,

Iceland moss, also known as "Chondrus crispus", is a species of red algae that grows along the rocky coasts of North Atlantic countries including Ireland, Scotland and Canada. It has been used in traditional medicine and cuisine for centuries and is known for its high levels of iodine, calcium and other important minerals.

In the cosmetics industry, reindeer moss is widely used as an ingredient in skin care products such as lotions and creams due to its moisturizing and nourishing properties. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which can help improve the overall health and appearance of the skin.

Iceland moss is harvested by hand from the sea and dried, processed and turned into various products. It is considered a sustainable and renewable resource because it grows back quickly after harvest.

Overall, reindeer moss is valued for its health benefits and role in promoting healthy skin and hair.

The body of this lichen is used as a herbal active ingredient, from which extracts are produced. It contains more than 50 percent long-chain sugar molecules that form mucus. These sugar chains are mainly composed of the substances lichenan and isolichenan, but also other sugar molecules. These mucus-forming sugar molecules cover the skin like a protective layer, soothing it when it is irritated or protecting against irritation. At the same time, the ingredients of the Icelandic moss have a bacteriostatic effect.

Aloe Vera,

The aloe vera plant is a lily family and has its origins in subtropical and tropical regions. The sap of this plant is known to bring out beauty and health. So far, more than three hundred different ingredients in aloe vera have been identified, and they work synergistically, which means that the positive effects arise from their interaction.

The special thing about aloe vera is that it contains high concentrations of important ingredients. These include essential amino acids, enzymes, minerals and trace elements, vitamins and much more. a It therefore has a wide range of applications and is used both internally and externally. In addition to its immune-enhancing and anti-inflammatory properties, it supports cell renewal and is used for injuries and burns. Wound healing is promoted, its high proportion of vitamins ensures a healthy complexion, skin moisture is sustainably improved.

Shea butter,

is a vegetable fat and is obtained from the shea nut. Its melting range is 35-42 °C, ideal for softening and absorbing on the skin. It is also used in the chocolate industry as a substitute for cocoa butter.

The special thing about shea butter compared to other fats and oils is its high proportion of unsaponifiable components, which means it has a relatively long shelf life. It mainly contains long-chain, unsaturated fatty acids, stearic acid, but also a lot of monounsaturated oleic acid and diunsaturated linoleic acid. It is extremely nourishing and not only provides valuable fatty acids, but also moisture.

Our shea butter comes from controlled organic cultivation and is mechanically cold-pressed.

almond oil,

is a very compatible and versatile base oil for all skin types, including sensitive and baby skin. Worked into creams, almond oil creates a soft, smooth and caring consistency. According to studies, it penetrates very deeply into the horny layer and is considered an excellent enhancer (amplifier) for active ingredients.

At the same time, the content of saturated fatty acids is very low. This spectrum makes almond oil a universal base oil for different skin types that is in no way comedogenic (skin-clogging and pimple-causing). Its high level of tolerance offers mild care, especially for sensitive skin conditions, and helps to bring it back into balance, reduce skin roughness and lack of moisture.

With over 90% mono and doubly unsaturated fatty acids, it has one of the highest levels of all oils available to us. Its tocopherol content is in the middle range, but the tocopherol fraction consists primarily of the metabolically and cosmetically active α-tocopherol, which has an antioxidant and skin-protecting effect and optimizes absorption.

Jojoba oil,

or Jojoba Wax (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) is obtained by cold-pressing the ripe seed of the jojoba tree fruit. This is a native oil. Its chemical structure means that it has more protective properties, primarily in terms of protection against water loss. Its extremely moisturizing properties make it particularly suitable for dry skin. Jojoba oil spreads very well on the skin and is not greasy.

It is interesting that jojoba oil cannot be metabolized by various microbes that colonize our skin and lead to inflammation and acne. Jojoba oil is therefore also a good base oil for impure skin. It is a very resistant oil to oxidation, so it lasts longer.
If you want to combine it with another oil, you should use an oil that is richer in linoleic and linolenic acid, e.g. B elder seed oil

Elder seed oil,

is cold-pressed from the seeds of the elderberries of the black elder bush and is a by-product of harvesting the fruit used to make juice. Due to its content of linolenic acid and phytosterols, it has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, which are very beneficial for sensitive skin prone to acne or neurodermatitis. It supports the maintenance of an intact skin barrier layer and stabilizes the lipid layer.

Due to its unique fatty acid composition (mainly mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids with a predominance of di- and tri-unsaturated fatty acids), elder seed oil is a light oil that is not heavy and forms non-greasy emulsions, which are also excellent for fatty, impure skin are suitable.

In combination with almond oil and shea butter, even very dry skin benefits from the protective properties of this valuable oil.

hyaluronic acid,

Sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) is a polysaccharide that can bind a lot of water. The vitreous body of the human eye B consists of 98% water bound to only 2% hyaluronic acid. It is the main component of synovial fluid and acts as a lubricant in all joint movements. Used in cosmetics, it acts as a moisturizer in anti-aging products.
Our hyaluronic acid has a low molecular weight and a wide range of action in the skin. It has the ability to immobilize a large volume of water in its structures. The ability to penetrate well into the skin represents a very good contribution to increasing the water content in the stratum corneum in view of the very good moisturizing properties.

ceramide IIIB,

support the renewal of the skin's natural protective layer and form an effective barrier against moisture loss. These molecules, which are identical to human skin, are therefore particularly suitable for long-term protection and to support the regeneration of sensitive and dry skin. Our ceramides are manufactured using a patented bio-fermentation process. In contrast to various pseudoceramides that are on the market, the ceramides produced by this method have the same stereochemical configuration as the ceramides present in human skin. This unique configuration is considered critical for optimal performance.

Application:

In the mornings and evenings, after cleansing the facial skin, put a pea-sized amount of CristinenMoor moss ointment on the palm of your hand and spread finely over the entire face.
